Product overview

How OneHarness connects system topology, pin-level wiring and deliverables

OneHarness is a design IDE for custom test and simulation systems and their harnesses. It brings information scattered across drawings, equipment manuals and spreadsheets into one structured project that can be checked and handed over. It complements drawing tools with a system-level model of equipment and connections.

What you design

Start with a cabinet or chassis, then add boards, instruments, power supplies and loads. Define interfaces, connectors and pins, and wire the devices together. Cables between the same pair of devices can be grouped into a harness so the system view remains readable.

Project object Purpose
System topology Equipment hierarchy, placement and connections
Resource library Products, connectors, pin definitions and manual references by vendor and model
Wiring table Pin-to-pin connections with Excel import, export and copy/paste
Cabinet layout Rack-unit placement, conflict checks, weight and power totals
Deliverables Master wiring list, BOM, project summary and referenced manuals

Typical workflow

  1. Build the topology from cabinets down to chassis and boards, selecting hardware from the library.
  2. Wire interfaces in spreadsheet-style tables, importing existing data where useful.
  3. Run design checks and jump from each error, warning or hint to the affected object.
  4. Plan cabinet placement, checking overlap and depth conflicts and reviewing weight and power totals.
  5. Hand over the project with wiring lists, BOM, summary and supporting manuals.

Who it helps

System designers maintain one source for topology and wiring. Managers and customers can review the system structure. Field and software engineers can trace a fault to a connector and pin. End users retain understandable records for later maintenance.

Explore the sample

The current sample project contains 25 devices, 59 cables and 424 wires based on real vendor products, with zero rule-check errors or warnings. See Quick start for installation and File formats for data exchange.

OneHarness is free for users. Check Downloads for an installer when one is listed; the download center shows an empty state until a package is configured.
